Why We’re Rooting for the Fantastic Four (And Why You Should Too)

The MCU is finally giving Marvel’s original super-squad the screen time they deserve — and at Battle & Brew – Battery, we’re already warming up the big screen and the drink specials. Whether you’re deep into comic lore or just here for the popcorn and chaos, the Fantastic Four are coming to shake up the Marvel Universe… and probably argue over whose turn it is to save the world.

Let’s break it down, team-style.

🧠 Mr. Fantastic — The Overthinker We All Know

Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, is basically if your friend who min-maxes every D&D character got stretch powers and a lab. He’s brilliant, bendy, and terrible at emotional communication — which means he’s also relatable. Whether he’s saving Earth from Galactus or trying to fix his marriage with science, Reed’s the dude you love for his brain and side-eye for his people skills.

At Battle & Brew: He’s the one organizing Mario Kart strategy… and still losing because he overthought Rainbow Road.

🔥 Human Torch — Party Bro with Superpowers

Johnny Storm is the fire emoji in human form. Fast cars, fast quips, and literally on fire, he’s the guy who’d roll into Battle & Brew, challenge you to a Smash Bros. match, and still flirt with the bartender between stocks. He’s a showoff, sure — but you love him anyway.

At Battle & Brew: He’s ordering Hot Wings and a Fireball shot “for the vibes.” Probably wearing Braves gear and sunglasses indoors.

🪨 The Thing — Tank with a Heart

Ben Grimm is basically if a boulder learned empathy and Brooklyn slang. He’s tough, loyal, and ready to fight for his friends (or over the last slice of pizza). Underneath the orange-rock exterior, he’s one of Marvel’s most emotional characters — and one of the most beloved.

At Battle & Brew: He’s got a beer in one hand, and a controller in the other. Don't challenge him to Tekken unless you’re ready for “It’s clobberin’ time!” in real life.

🌪️ Invisible Woman — The Real MVP

Sue Storm is the reason the Fantastic Four don’t fall apart every Tuesday. Smart, powerful, and able to literally make force fields to protect the squad from Reed’s bad decisions and Johnny’s immaturity, she’s the glue of the team. And yes — she can crush a car with a thought bubble. Respect.

At Battle & Brew: She’s running trivia night, winning Mario Party without making enemies, and somehow managing everyone’s bar tab.

So… Why Should You Care?

Because the Fantastic Four are more than just superheroes — they’re family. Messy, brilliant, awkward family who argue during galactic emergencies and still show up when it counts. And after years of being MIA in the MCU, they’re finally stepping into the spotlight.

Whether you’re a comic book OG or just down for superhero movie night with a side of nachos, this is the crew to keep your eye on.
